Police say the Kane Community Center on Fraley Street sustained significant damage after a pick-up truck jumped the curb and slammed into the building. According to police, 18-year old Nicholas Abplanalp of Kane was driving a pick-up truck when he apparently lost control, went over the curb, sheered off two light poles, a fire hydrant and a sign before hitting the building. Police said neither the driver nor his passenger 18-year old Mike Shrubb of Kane were hurt. The accident occurred about 11pm Tuesday night.
