State Police say 34-year old Linda K. Wood of Shinglehouse was struck and killed by a car Thursday night on Kings Run Road in Ceres Township. Wood was rushed to Olean General Hospital shortly after the 6pm crash where she was pronounced dead.
State Police said Wood was wearing dark colored clothes and walking southbound. 37-year old Russell Hartzell of Eldred was also driving southbound. As Hartzell approached Wood, he was passed by two oncoming vehicles. Police said Hartzell was unable to see Wood walking and struck her. State Police investigator Frank Milliard said there were no charges filed.
