The Pennsylvania State House returns to session Tuesday. Once gaveled into session, the House will vote on Senate Bill 9, offered by Senator Joe Scarnati. The second for consideration requires a person applying for public benefits to provide proof of citizenship and execute an affidavit confirming their legal presence in the United States. Later in the week, there will be debate on a bill to allow boroughs and other local governments to purchase used equipment from another governmental unit without advertising and bidding.
