2010-11 NSCAA Women's Team Academic Award
2011 NCAA Women's Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Team

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) awarded St. Bonaventure the 2011 College Team Academic Award and has named Tori Burchett to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

The Bonnies earned a 3.41 GPA for the 2010-11 school year en route to their sixth consecutive College Team Academic Award. The honor is awarded to any soccer team – regardless of conference or division – that reaches a 3.0 team average GPA.

Head coach Manoj Khettry noted the award reflects an important piece to the Bonnies' success.

"Anyone who is familiar with our program knows how integral academics are to the fabric of our culture here at St. Bonaventure," Khettry said. "It's an expectation of excellence and achievement we have created within our program. I'm proud of how seriously our players take their coursework and how they have bought in."

Individually, senior midfielder Burchett was a Second-Team selection to the 2011 NCAA Women's Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Team, following a campaign in which the First Team Atlantic 10 All-Conference and  A-10 All-Championship Team selection tallied a team-best seven goals (three game-winners) and 15 points.

The selection marks the second consecutive season in which a member of the Brown and White earned regional honors, as Anna Cunningham was a Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic selection last season.

"Tori had a great year for us and this is a well-deserved honor," Khettry said. "In the past two years she has scored 14 goals, but most importantly, for a player who is humble and shy and doesn't particularly like to be in the spotlight, she scored vital goals down the stretch when we needed them and helped lead us to the Atlantic 10 Tournament for a fourth consecutive year."
