Six Alfred University art & design seniors to exhibit final work in weekend shows
Six Alfred University School of Art and Design December graduating seniors will open their Senior Shows Saturday, Dec. 10 at 4 p.m. in the new Robert C. Turner Gallery, Harder Hall. The opening reception will continue through 7 p.m. Saturday. Work will remain on display through Monday, Dec. 12.
The Senior Shows are a requirement for graduation from AU’s School of Art & Design. The shows have become a major attraction for art lovers throughout Western New York, who are drawn to Alfred for the opportunity to see work by some of the country’s most promising young artists.
The Robert C. Turner Gallery is a student-run professional gallery space located in the recently completed McGee Pavilion at Harder Hall. Students and faculty members designed and implemented the gallery to provide a creative forum for current and innovative ideas in art.
