A fire swept through the old Allegany fire hall early this morning, damaging the building, destroying a police car and putting three ambulances temporarily out-of-service. The building is located on North First Street. Authorities say the fire is believed to have started in a village patrol car. No damage estimate has been established yet. There were no injuries.
