A small building in Liberty Township was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon. Residents on North Open Brook Road were burning trash when strong winds moved the fire to the shed. Firefighters from Port Allegany and Smethport responded.
Eldred firefighters extinguished a small wildfire on Main Street Sunday. Officials said a landowner had been burning brush, but left the scene too early. The fire was stopped just as it reached a field and wooded area.
A weekend fire destroyed a trailer on Pratt Hollow Road in Rew. The trailer was unoccupied at the time. The cause is under investigation, but officials are focusing on the furnace area.
