Refinery Changes Could Put Hundreds of Jobs at Risk

Another possible pitfall has come to light for small oil and gas producers across Pennsylvania’s northern tier. This time the problem is chloride. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is proposing a major change in the way chloride is disposed of in the commonwealth.  State representative Martin Causer of McKean County says the changes would have a devastating effect on producers. Hundreds of jobs could be lost and it could potentially mean the end for the American Refining Group’s Bradford refinery according to an article in this morning’s Bradford Era.
