Wind Turbine Project Not up for Discussion at Last Night's Meeting

The wind turbine issue in Allegany wasn't up for discussion during Monday's Allegany Planning Board meeting. Some residents who had picketed the meeting earlier were on hand waiting to hear about proposed changes to a proposal of the wind turbines by EverPower Wind LLC. The company recently requested a change in turbine model that would be installed in the Knapp Creek and Chipmonk areas. The new models would have larger rotors that could mean reducing the number form 29 to 26.
