School Board Moving Towards The Right Track

It was a good turnout according to organizers of the new academic improvement committee of the Port Allegany School Board. Dozens of people turned out for the initial meeting last night including several board members. The committee currently made up of parents, teachers and community members, will also include student representatives from both the junior/senior high school and the elementary school. It was started to advise the school board on changes they see that could be made to enhance the learning environment in the schools. The next meeting is set for October 16 and everyone is invited.
