The
issue of bringing broadband internet service to a wider area of
Cattaraugus county will have the attention of the full county
legislature when they meet next Wednesday. The Southern Tier West
Regional Planning and Development Board need to make an application
to the state by October 5 to start making it happen. Service would be
provided by DFT Communications of Fredonia. The project is contingent on
the county receiving a Western NY Economic Development County broadband
grant.
