Bridge Finished With Construction

Weather permitting, Pennsylvania DOT will re-open a bridge on Route 1008 (West Creek Road) in Elk County on Friday, Sept 21. Crews have been working since mid-July to repair the bridge, which spans West Creek, just west of the Elk/ Cameron county line. Repairing the bridge removes it from Elk County’s list of structurally deficient bridges and keeps it in service for years to come. The bridge carries an average of 150 vehicles per day. The project is finishing about ten days ahead of schedule
