WVTT is Looking for Fall Semester Interns!

WVTT is a multi platform news operation…we have a news radio station- 96.7 FM WVTT and we also have a brand new television station Channel 25 WVTT, which we recently launched. Our media company is the first to launch a TV station in the country this year! We are looking for interns who are excited to get experience in the Journalism field. Interested applicants must understand the rigorous world of broadcast news and be able to work hard with our news team.
We have three types of internships available.
-       Reporting Internship
-       Producing Internship
-       Apprentice Internship
In our reporting internship, interns will get the opportunity to work on our news websites, help with the success of our twitter and facebook pages, update our news blog with the latest breaking news and the opportunity to record for the radio, in addition to doing interviews that will be multi purposed for TV and radio.
The second internship is a production news internship. Dealing more with computer graphics and animation, the opportunity to go out and shoot video for our evening broadcasts, work closely with the news team to edit video into news packages.
We also have an apprentice internship that will work closely with our news team with the possibility to write, shoot, edit and produce your very own packages- the opportunity to get your name out there and work on networking and resume building. (This is only for serious broadcast candidates.)
If you are interested you can request an application and send your resume to news@colonial.cc. You can also give our offices a call at 716- 372-9564, or stop in our station at 1 Bluebird Square in downtown Olean, to pick up an application today.
