Thomas Smith Could be Cracking...

Could Thomas Smith be close to turning himself in? According to a letter received this week by the editor of the Cameron County Echo Newspaper he may be. The paper received a handwritten letter from a person claiming to be the man who allegedly held a woman at gunpoint two weeks ago in Emporium. Details in the letter however give a very different account of the circumstances. It's now in the hands of PA State Police who are trying to determine its authenticity. The 58 year old Clear Creek man is still being sought for the incident investigators say is believed to have stemmed from forclosure proceedings on his house. There were no injuries.
