Stormy Weather Continues in Twin Tiers

The near continuous thunderstorms over the past few weeks have taken a toll on the southern tiers some way or another. Last week it was tornadoes in Coudersport, Smethport, and Lewis Run areas. Now nine people believed to have been struck by lightning Tuesday during an abrupt thunderstorm at the Potter Country Fair. Six were released on site, but three were transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for mild shock symptoms, such as tingly feelings. The same thunderstorm passed by Olean, and according to Mayor Whitte, times like these really show her how communities can come together to help each other out.
