According to the Wellsville Daily, police responded to a shooting in Wellsville early Tuesday afternoon. The victim was taken to Jones Memorial Hospital with a shotgun wound to the chest. The alleged shooter was caught and taken to the state police department in Amity for questioning. The shooting took place near the intersection of Truax Road and County Road 30. The victim’s name has yet to be released.
