Road work to Begin Soon in Potter County

Work to replace a large pipe on Route 4023 (Eleven Mile Road) in Potter County will get under way Monday, Aug. 20, and a detour will be in place. The pipe is located just north of Pinned Hill road in Oswayo Township. In order to replace the current pipe, Route 4023 will be closed between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day of the project. The roadway will be open to traffic each evening. The 26-mile detour uses Route 44 (Coudersport Pike), Route 244 (Oswayo Road/Main Street) and Route 4025 (Brezzie Hollow Road). The project is expected to be complete by Wednesday, Aug. 22. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
