An arrest has been made in connection with the hit and run of a St.
Mary's woman. Police say, Dean Schatz was driving the vehicle that struck 21-year-old Natasha Schmitz while she was standing on the side of Washington Road in the early morning hours of July 28th, then took off. The 41-year-old is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, making false reports to law enforcement, tampering with evidence among others. Those charges resulted when investigators say Schatz reported the vehicle stolen. He's out on bail. She's recovering from injuries.
