PHFA Offering New Incentive for People Buying Newly Constructed Homes

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency announced a new incentive for people to purchase newly constructed homes with a more affordable mortgage option. New home buyers can apply for a closing-cost assistance loan for up to $6,000. This is higher than the $4,000 loan that is offered for buyers of existing homes. PHFA has recently released several new mortgage programs to meet the needs of homebuyers and keep their mortgage programs competitive in the market. Other homebuyer advantages are available, and anyone interested can visit www.phfa.org for more information.
