Drivers in Elk County may have to start leaving a little earlier on Monday, July 30th. PennDot announced that there will be a detour in effect while construction is being done on the bridge that spans West Creek on Route 1008. The bridge was built in 1963 and carries an average of 150 vehicles each day. The construction will include beam repair and guide rail updates and is expected to last through October 4th.
