A local law enforcement officer could be getting a raise soon. The Allegany County legislators met yesterday afternoon at the Allegany County fairgrounds for their board meeting. On the agenda, the legislators voted to set a date for a public hearing that should take place next month. The topic of that meeting? The possibility of increasing the salary of the Allegany County Sherriff.
