Irvona Bridge Named After Woman Who Died in 9/11 Atacks

Pennsylvania state and local officials were present yesterday in Clearfield to name the Route 53 bridge in Irvona after a Clearfield County woman who died on 9/11. Mary Ellen Tiesi was in the South Tower during the tragic attacks on the World Trade Center and was the only person from Clearfield County to lose their life in the attack. Governor Tom Corbett signed the legislation for the name change, and Rep. Camille “Bud” George was the one who originally sponsored the legislation.
