NY Governor Andrew Cuomo announced over the weekend an initiative that would assist low income New Yorkers who have heat related health issues with the ability to acquire air conditioners for little or no cost. Governor Cuomo says that the hot weather forecasted in the coming week across the state means that people should be able to access affordable ways to stay cool. Adding that the late spring and early summer have already brought several heat waves, which can be life-and-death matters for New Yorkers with serious medical conditions.
