Allegheny County Magisterial District Judge Removed From Office and Barred From Future Judicial Service

Earlier this week, the Court of Judicial Discipline removed former Allegheny County Magisterial District Judge Ross C. Cioppa from office, and barred him from future judicial service in Pennsylvania. The action stemmed from a complaint filed back in April of two counts of Indecent Assault for attempting to solicit sexual favors in exchange for favorable judicial treatment. Cioppa entered a guilty plea.
