Pennsylvania's Northern Tier will Likely Remain on Top

Pennsylvania's Northern Tier will likely remain the epicenter of the country's natural gas drilling for some time. That's according to an Associated Press report that says billions has already been invested in pipeline infrastructure, wells and leases in Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania is more business-friendly than neighboring New York. The recent plunge in wholesale natural gas prices makes thriftiness a must, and that fact, more than environmental activism, could put a damper on Marcellus Shale Drilling in Upstate New York.
