Debate Over Minimum Wage in NYS

Debate over whether or not minimum wage in NYS should increase from $7.25 to $8.50 has been holding up a vote in the state senate. This increase would impact many businesses across the county. WVTT spoke with Kathy Malara who is the owner of Mia Gelato, a restaurant in Olean who said that this increase would mean an increase in their prices. WVTT’s Alexa Olson will have an interview with State Senator Catherine Young later on today with her comment on this subject.
