Bradford Airport In Need of More Traffic to Keep Federal Subsidy

The current contract to provide Essential Air Service to the Bradford Regional Airport expires on September 30th. Proposals for another two year contract were originally due today, but the U.S. Department of Transportation has now extended that deadline until June 21st. Whether Bradford will continue to get a federal subsidy will be re-examined in January 2014. Currently only 8.8 people per day use the Bradford Airport. That number needs to climb to 10 per day for Bradford to continue to get the subsidy.
