Specialist Thomas Jordan of Bolivar, NY was awarded several medals by State Senator Catherine Young for his service in the army at a ceremony over the weekend. Jordan had no idea he deserved medals for his service in the Army until he spoke with long-time friend and recent medal recipient, Boatswain’s Mate Third Class Daniel Little. Little received medals from Catherine Young last month for his service in the Navy, and it was Little’s story that sparked interest in Jordan to sent information to the Senator’s office for review to see if he was eligible. Jordan said at the ceremony this past Friday that a veteran is a veteran no matter where you serve. He added that each vet is equal, whether you served in Vietnam or Afghanistan.
