Talk is still swirling around the arrests of eight students in connection to the drug investigation at the Wellsville High School. According to Allegany County DA Keith Slep, these arrests all stem from one singular incident that happened last week. Unofficial sources are telling WVTT that one of the students involved was the son of a law enforcement officer. Shawnee Bigelow, who is the coordinator for Partners for Prevention in Allegany County, says that she doesn’t believe that prescription drugs had been a problem in the school before. Bigelow says that parents should have regular conversations with their children to educate them about the dangers of drugs.
