UPDATE on Bank Robbery

Unofficial sources are telling WVTT that the woman who robbed the Community Bank has been caught near the Home Dept. The woman allegedly went into Walmart, across from the bank, changed her clothes and continued on foot and was caught shortly after that.

Police have arrested the woman who robbed Community Bank across from Walmart in Olean. Police say 25-year-old Katherine A. Hayes robbed the Community Bank on West State Street in the Town of Allegany Friday afternoon. Police say she handed the teller a note and walked away with cash. Both the Cattaraugus County Sherrif’s department and NYS troopers searched for Hayes for hours. Hayes has been charged with first-degree robbery and is being held on $100,000 bail in the Cattaraugus County Jail.
