Governor Cuomo Announcing 25 Million Dollars to Fund Summer Employment Program

NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that 25 million dollars has been set aside to help fund more than 18 thousand summer jobs for needy teens. Governor Cuomo says that summer jobs are a great way to get experience and help prepare for future employment. This is a 61% increase from what was allocated for last year’s summer programs. Cattaraugus County is receiving a little more than 145 thousand dollars for summer employment. To be eligible for the program you must be between the ages of 14 and 20 years old and come from a low-income family.
