The
Olean School Board met last night to present the details of the budget to the
public. The proposed budget has a $1 million decrease compared to the
current year’s budget and contains a 2% tax levy increase. In conjunction
with the budget candidates for the two open school board seats were allowed to
address the public. The four candidates running are Kristopher Linderman,
Amy Giachetti and incumbents Laurie Branch and Eric Garvin. The budget
vote and school board election will take place May 15th in the Olean Middle
School; voting booths will be open from 7 am – 9pm. Wednesday, May 2, 2012
