Bradford Man Accused of Double Murder Will be Tried in September

The trial will happen at the McKean County Courthouse in Smethport starting September 11th. Forty-year-old Waide Nolf has confessed to the drowning deaths of 24-year-old Tonya Haight and her infant daughter, Tamara, at their residence on Pleasant Street in Bradford back in March 2010. The defense has already sought to have the confession withheld and may be planning a "limited mental capacity" defense. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
