Bolivar- Richburg Does Not get Enough Votes to Pass Budget

All of the budgets up for a vote in the area pass however the Bolivar-Richburg School district budget did not. The proposed budged called for the removal of 5 and ½ positions and for cuts to athletic programs, which would mean the removal of the golf tennis and wrestling programs. According to the business administrator Jenny Bilotta there was a lot of negative response to these cuts. The school board now has the option of going to a contingency budget that would mean charging outside parties to use the school or to re-write the budget and go to a re-vote. That decision will be made at their next school board meeting.
