Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan Endorses Nate Shinagawa for Congress

Hornell, NY – Democratic candidate for Congress (23rd District) and Tompkins County Legislator Nate Shinagawa received the endorsement today of Mayor Shawn Hogan of Hornell, NY. Mayor Hogan is currently the longest tenured City Mayor in all of New York State. He has served in office for over twenty-six years. He also serves as the Chair of the Steuben County Democratic Committee.
“I’m supporting Nate Shinagawa because we need a candidate for Congress who is an independent leader for the people of the Southern Tier,” said Mayor Hogan, “Nate has a proven record in economic development and job growth. His background in healthcare makes him an idealfighter to preserve important programs like Medicare. He knows how to win elections, and I’m confident he'll win against Tom Reed in November.”
“Mayor Shawn Hogan is one of the mostrespected public servants in New York State,” said Nate Shinagawa, “I’ll work with Mayor Hogan to bring honor and common sense back to our government. This nation needs to come together and make investing in education, infrastructure, and job growth a priority. More than ever, we need a Congress that puts everyday people before politics.”
Nate Shinagawa has also been endorsed by New York State Assemblywoman Barbara S. Lifton, Tompkins County Legislature Chair Martha Robertson, and the Chautauqua County Democratic Committee.
