State Police say a Kane man has been arrested and charged with making terroristic threats, DUI, Assault, Theft and other charges. Troopers leveled the charges against 25-year old Jared Smith of Kane. Troopers say the crimes spanned a six hour window. After an alleged domestic dispute, Kane Police Chief Brian Hillard pursued Smith in a vehicle at a high speed…Smith allegedly ditched the vehicle and a foot pursuit was engaged. Smith was eventually taken into custody. Five people were identified as crime victims. State police say Smith will answer the charges in court at a later date.
