Bonnies Picked 8th In Preseason A-10 Golf Poll

April 2, 2012 NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The St. Bonaventure golf team was picked to finish eighth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll conducted by the A-10 head coaches. Bonaventure tallied 34 points in the poll, with Charlotte (97), Xavier (86), Richmond (80), Dayton (72), George Washington (63), Rhode Island (48) and Temple (45) leading the poll. Charlotte has won the A-10 title six consecutive years – all six seasons the 49ers have been a member of the conference. Saint Joseph's (28), Fordham (27) and La Salle (14) all followed the Bonnies, respectively. The Bonnies ended their 2010-11 season with a regional Golf Stat ranking of 112 and a division ranking of 257. The club finished last year's A-10 Championship with an eight-place showing. The three-day, 54-hole A-10 Golf Championship will be played at Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla. April 27-29.
