Talks will continue this week on a major initiative to help two major Wellsville factories and others. The Allegany County Planning and Economic Development Committee will discuss the project when it meets on Wednesday. The project would extend municipal water service from the village east along route 417. Alstom Power and Northern Lights candles would be two of the main beneficiaries. In The past, U S Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has attached a $1.1 million earmark in the federal budget, but it’s never been approved.
