Potter County teen charged with murder has court hearing today

A 16-year old Potter County girl…charged with murder…will be in court this morning to determine whether she will be tried as an adult or juvenile. Kaylynn Benson and two others are accused of killing 18-year old Samuel Miller of Eldred last June. One defendant has already admitted to the crime…the third stands trial in May. Prosecutors want Benson tried in adult criminal court. They say Miller was shot eight times and his body was dragged to a stream. DA Andy Watson says the circumstances warrant adult court. The hearing begins at 9am.
