Unlike recent sessions, there were no surprises at last night’s meeting of the Olean Common Council Finance Committee. No new action on the proposed budget was taken, although Aldermen did have some questions for the police and fire departments. Department heads will likely attend next week’s session. The final vote authorizing $100K in cuts to the fire service may also be scheduled for next week as well.
