Olean Council postpones fire department vote

No action was taken last night to cut the city fire department budget for the next fiscal year. Common Council President Jim Brady pulled the resolution, saying he first wants get information from the state comptrollers.. Previously, the Committee of the Whole had approved removing $100,000 from the fire service budget, but the final vote rests with the Common Council. No word on when the vote will take place.
