Olean: budget debate and more on Tuesday

In Olean Tuesday, busy agendas face the city’s Committee of the Whole and Common Council.  On the agenda, it’s referred to as PL #15-12. In reality, it’s a resolution to adopt a new city budget. Mayor Witte is offering the legislation after recommendations were provided by the State Comptroller’s Office and some department’s made additional concessions. The Mayor says it carries a one penny property tax increase. If history is a guide, however, there’s likely to be more spirited debate.
