Near Wellsville Wednesday…A man was injured when a tree fell, inflicting a serious chest injury. The incident happened on route 248. Medical crews needed Mercy Flight to respond to the village’s helicopter pad. While en-route to set up the landing zone, Wellsville’s Rescue-1 was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle. Authorities said there were no injuries in the accident. The man was flown to Strong Memorial in Rochester.
