Lynch elected Wellsville Mayor

Democrats have held on to the top post in Wellsville. Former village Trustee Judy Lynch grabbed the most votes and was elected Mayor in Tuesday’s election. She defeated Don LaForge, who currently serves as the village’s deputy mayor. Just 30 votes separated the two. Meanwhile, newcomer Fordyce Cook won a seat on the village board while incumbent Jamie Herman retained his seat. Meanwhile…no surprises in Cattaraugus County…all the candidates were running unopposed.
