Kane taxpayers ANGRY

The long-term financial stability of Kane is being called into question. On Monday, frustrated residents spoke out during the Borough Council meeting. Residents scolded the Council for tax hikes…four years in a row. The police department also came under fire. Residents insisted police start paying for a portion of their healthcare. One resident questioned why the police staffing levels have remained the same, despite a significant population decline in Kane. After receiving legal counsel, the Board did not respond to any of the public comments.
