In Allegany: No vote on wind farm moratorium

The Allegany Town Board may vote later this month on a plan to halt new wind farm construction. Last night, the Board tabled a vote…saying it needed more time to review the significant amount of public comment. The Board is considering a six month moratorium  on the issuance of building permits for wind energy conversion systems. Supervisor John Hare said the board has several new members and it is still reviewing a large amount of public input. The Board meets again March 27th and may consider a vote then.
