A former Rixford couple will serve some county jail time and must collectively repay nearly $18,000. Christopher and Sarah Vancise fraudulently obtained public assistance over a several year period. Their attorney said it was mainly food stamps and his clients did it to basically feed themselves. The judge suggested they plant a garden and he ordered them to also serve 300 community service.
