March 21, 2012 BUFFALO, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team (2-2) suffered its second loss in as many games, falling to host Canisius 20-8 on Wednesday at the Demske Sports Complex.Bona's Marybeth Madia, Mackenzie Jordan and Daisy Timlin netted two goals each in the loss, as the Golden Griffins (3-5) broke a 2-2 tie seven minutes in with a string of eight consecutive scores. Canisius led 10-2 just a second shy of 10 minutes later and stayed in control for good to help snap its five-game skid. Carly Quinn scored four times and distributed four assists, totaling eight points for the Griffs, while Emily Kane booked two assists for the Bonnies. SBU returns to action March 30 at Temple in its Atlantic 10 Conference opener. |
