Two accidents in Great Valley early Sunday...one serious

A Salamanca woman was arrested  for drunk driving after sheriff’s deputies said she drove the wrong way on I-86 in Great Valley…and slammed head-on into a tractor trailer. Police say amazingly, 29-year old Dana Baker was not seriously hurt. The crash closed a portion of the interstate for three hours early Sunday.
It was a more serious situation about an hour earlier on route 417 in Great Valley. Deputies said 22-year old Brooke Kennedy of Salamanca struck a pedestrian walking along the highway. The vitim, Reggie George, was seriously injured and taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Kenneday was charged with DWI and vehicular assault. She was jailed on $1,000 bail.
