Serious Personal Injury Accident in Kennedy

PRESS RELEASE
On February 4th, 2012, members of the New York State Police and the Kennedy Fire Department responded to a personal injury auto accident on Interstate 86 in the Town of Poland. Investigation revealed that JOSEPH LINDQUIST, 23, of Cherry Creek, was traveling east in the right lane behind SHERRY RICHARDS, 53, of Jamestown, when LINDQUIST attempted to pass RICHARDS, utilizing the left lane. LINDQUIST then, in a reckless manner, re-entered the right lane and struck the rear driver side of RICHARDS’ vehicle, causing RICHARDS to strike the guard rail. RICHARDS was airlifted to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA with a severe head injury, and LINDQUIST was issued tickets for Speed not Reasonable and Moving From Lane Unsafely. LINDQUIST was not injured as a result of the collision, and RICHARDS’ current condition is unknown.
